Physical Description


The Decoration for Meritorious Service consists of a circular medal bearing an partially enameled Chilean coat of arms, surrounded by the inscription. It is suspended by wreath of the same metal. The Classes are suspended by a breast ribbon with the color of the nation.

History


The Decoration for Meritorious Service is awarded to those who have been working for the Chiean government and its Armed forces.

The Medal was authorized with three classes. I Class, II Class, and III Class.

The I Class was awarded to Officer who have worked for more than a year in the La Moneda Palace, the seat of the President of the republic.
