History
The Order of June 27 was established in Venezuela in 1949. It was originally created as the Medal of Honour of Educators on June 27 which was promote Order on May 17, 1957. Since its creation, the Order has been awarded in recognition of consecutive years of meritorious service in the field of education. It is conferred only to teachers in active service.
The Medal of Honour of Educators was created with a unique grade, but the Order added to more grades in 1957. Currently, the Order consists of three grades: I Class Gold Medal, II Class Silver Medal, and III Class Bronze Medal.
In Medalbook, this Order is classified according with 1957 reforms. Type I includes thew awards before 1957, white Type II consists of the awarded after that date.
The III Class Bronze Medal is awarded in recognition of 10 years of meritorious service.
The III Class Bronze Medal is awarded with a green ribbon with a red stripe in the centre.
