China, Republic. A Medal of Victorious Garrison, c.1940
(Republic, Taiwan): In silver with red, green and light blue enamels, number impressed "3047" on the reverse, 38.5 mm x 39 mm, on an original A-2 ribbon with brooch pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.
This medal was conferred upon military personnel in recognition of exceptional performance or for outstanding technical skills.
The I Class, II Grade Medal was issued on a ribbon with a central blue stripe bordered by white and edged in red.
The reverse features Chinese characters.
