873-1941 Issue. Of high quality British manufacture, in silver gilt consisting of a finely enameled green, red and orange flower rows, with obverse centre exhibiting a royal White Elephant with enameled details, reverse depicting typical of this order Thai characters, suspended by a very detailed Thai crown in silver gilt, with maker’s mark of J. W. BENSON, LONDON, one of the most active jewellers in the United Kingdom, with ring suspension marked with asterix, measuring 32.21 mm (w) x 58.51 mm (h - inclusive of suspension), presenting minor toned silver on the suspension and light enamel wear, accompanied by original breast ribbon, extremely fine.
Conferred upon national and foreign citizens for extraordinary service to the Kingdom of Thailand.
The Order was created by King Mongkut, and may be conferred upon both men and women with variations in the size and ribbon of the Order grades awarded.
