Commemorative Medal for December 24, 1924, in Gold

This medal was instituted by King Zog I to commemorate his coup and accession to power on December 24, 1924. It was originally awarded to the Albanians who had participated in the re-establishment of his reign.
The medal was later conferred in recognition of distinguished service to the Sovereign and State.
It may also be known as the President Zog Coup Medal.
The obverse inscription translates to "A Friend to Thousands 24 December 1924".
There are no known examples of the Gold Medal.
