History

The Decoration for Exemplary Work in Veterinary Service was established by the Council of Ministers in 1964. It was awarded by the Minister of Agriculture to veterinarians for meritorious service, including the promotion of veterinary education, the implementation of new techniques or technology, and the eradication of animal diseases. It was discontinued following the collapse of the communist regime in 1989.

The Silver Decoration features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "For Exemplary Work in Veterinary Services."
