Silver and blue enamel Slovak (patriarchal) cross, the blue enamel decorated with linden leaves, with rays between the arms; the face with gilt linden sprays imposed on the rays between the lateral arms; the reverse plain with pin for wear; 36.5x52mm; slight surface scratches, age oxidisation and toning.
This Order is awarded to officers for "distinguished leadership on the battlefield".
The Order was conferred upon Slovakian military personnel in recognition of a minimum of 4 years of service by the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Slovak Republic on March 14, 1944.
3,769 awards of all classes were manufactured, but less then 600 of them were awarded.
