History


Established by King Christian IX, this medal was awarded to recognize individuals who were members and servants of the court, or were related to the Royal couple, King Christian IX and Queen Louise.

The medal is suspended from the same ribbon as the Order of the Elephant.

When this decoration is awarded to Ladies it is awarded on a bow ribbon.

Servants of the court were eligible to receive the Bronze Decoration.
