Victim's medal of December 2, 1851, in silver signed Calipe, attribution engraved on the reverse "EC Blanchet", six claw bail fixed, small red ribbon with black borders, very rare.
The exact details surrounding the creation of this Medal are unknown. It was awarded to those who were wounded during the coup d'état on December 2, 1851.
The obverse inscription translates to "French Republic," and the reverse inscription translates to "Defender of the Law, Victim of 2 December, 1848."
The Medal may also appear in bronze, but it is uncertain if it represents a grade.
