History


This Medal was awarded by the Governor-General of Indochina to workers in the Medical Assistance Service for 15 years of meritorious service, or for exceptional acts of courage performed on duty. A maximum of 150 medals were awarded annually to natives, and an additional 10 to Europeans.

The obverse inscription translates to “French Indochina,” and the reverse inscription translates to “”Merit, Devotion, Medical Assistance.”

It is uncertain when it ceased it be awarded.
