The Commemorative Medal for Participants of the African Expedition, 1907-1908 was instituted by Grand Duke Friedrich Franz IV to commemorate the expedition to explore Africa in 1907/08. The expedition was led by Prince Adolf Friedrich of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
