History

The Unterthanen Medal was founded by King Friedrich Wilhelm II on the behest of the government in South Prussia. The award was conferred upon South Prussian communities that remained loyal during an insurrection by the Polish.

The "H' is manufacturer mark of Johann Gottfried Held.
