History


The Silver Wedding Medal was established by King Wilhelm II to commemorate his silver wedding anniversary to Queen Charlotte. The medal was conferred upon all of the guests who attended the anniversary celebrations.

When the medal was awarded to women, it was worn on a bow ribbon.
