History

This award was founded and designed by Oberleutnant Karl Bergerhoff to reward members of the Selbstschutz Battalion Bergerhoff who had displayed valour in the face of the enemy.

To be eligible for this award, the recipient had to already received the I Class or II Class Silesian Eagle.
