History

The Commemorative Medal for Foreign Visits was established by Royal Decree in 2000. It is awarded to Dutch citizens in recognition of involvement in the planning and preparation of visits made by foreign heads of state to the Netherlands. It may also be awarded to foreigners in recognition of involvement and planning in preparation of visits made by the Dutch head of state to foreign countries.
