Medal. GOLD. 53 mm. 95.92 gm. By T. Ivanov and P.L. Vernier. Establishment of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, 1765. Diakov 128.2, Sm--. Crowned and mantled bust of Catherine II right, ВЫ. 1785. Г. ТИМОΘЕЙ ИВАНОВЪbelow / Stone dais with symbols of painting, sculpture and architecture. Very rare.Slightly crude and typical for 18th Century production. Some light contact marks and small test mark on edge.
