History
The Coronation Medal 1911 was instituted in commemoration of the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary on June 22, 1911. The Silver Medal was the first Coronation Medal awarded to recipients not present at the Coronation ceremony.
A clasp surmounted by a royal crown and inscribed "DELHI" was awarded to recipients of the Silver Medal who were also entitled to the Delhi Darbar Medal.
The Medal was issued unnamed, but privately altered versions may be encountered.
