A rectangular bar constructed of iron on a blue ribbon bar with yellow stripes. The rectangular bar bears an oval in the centre with the number "9".

History


The Long Service Bar for NCOs (Non-Commissioned Officers) and EMs (Enlisted Men) for 9 Years was established in 1879. The bar was conferred upon those who rendered 9 years of active military service. It was awarded until 1886.
