Physical Description and Item Details


A straight-armed cross pattée constructed of silver. The quadrants between the arms bear rays. The obverse centre bears a circular medallion with the crowned cipher "W". The reverse centre bears a circular medallion with the number "21". On a loop for suspension, on a blue ribbon with yellow stripes.

History


The Long Service Cross for NCOs (Non-Commissioned Officers) and EMs (Enlisted Men) for 21 Years was established in 1879. The cross was conferred upon those who rendered active military service for 21 years. It was awarded until 1886.
