A Soviet Medal for the Liberation of Prague - Brass, 32 mm, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided brass suspension with pinback, extremely fine.

History


The Liberation of Prague Medal was established on June 9, 1945. This medal was conferred upon those who participated in the liberation of Prague. The dates for consideration range from May 3, 1945 to May 9, 1945. It was awarded approximately 395,000 times.

Variation I has the suspension ring soldered onto the medal, variation II has the ring filed down and variation III was gold washed.
