History

The Irreproachable Service in the Armed Forces for the KGB I Class Medal was established on January 25, 1958. The II Class medal was conferred upon those who were members of the Armed Forces and the KGB, in recognition of 15 years of service.

The Type I medals were awarded from January 25, 1958 until May 2, 1960 and then again from 1968 until 1991. The Type I, II Class medal is composed of silver-plated brass, except the star in the center is gold-plated.

The reverse Russian inscription translates to: "For 15 Years of Irreproachable Service".
