History

The Irreproachable Service in the Armed Forces for the KGB I Class Medal was established on January 25, 1958. The II Class medal was conferred upon those who were members of the Armed Forces and the KGB, in recognition of 15 years of service.

The Type II medals were awarded from February 2, 1960 until 1968. From 1968 to 1991, the award reverted to the Type I design. The II Class medal is composed of silver-plated brass.

The reverse Russian inscription translates to: "For Irreproachable Service".
