The Medal for Participation of the National People's Army in the Wars of the Middle East is awarded to members of the People's National Army who served for a minimum of 1 month in the Wars of the Middle East in 1967 and 1973. The service requirement can be waived for those who were wounded before it could be completed. The Medal may also be awarded posthumously.
