History

This Order was established by King Hasan II in 1976. It is conferred upon individuals who were mentioned in dispatches for gallantry during battle.

Emblems were worn on the ribbon to signify different levels of mention. A National level mention was signified by a palm over the crown. A Royal Armed Forces Command Army mention was signified by a crown. A Crops level mention was signified by a gilt star. A Division level mention was signified by a silver star. A Brigade level mention was signified by a bronze star.

Individuals who receive 4 mentions were eligible for the IV Class of the Order of the Throne.
