The Order of the Equatorial Star is conferred upon Gabonese civilians and military personnel in recognition of outstanding contributions to the nation.

The Officer is identical to the Grand Officer, however only the Grand Officer is worn with a Breast Star. The obverse features an inscription that translates to "Gabonese Republic," and the reverse inscription translates to "Unity, Labour, Justice."
