The Order of Hamondieh was established by the Sultan of Zanzibar. It was awarded for services rendered in the name of the Sultan. This order consisted of 6 classes: Grand Order, First Class, Second Class, Third Class, Fourth Class and Fifth Class.

The order was abolished in 1911.
