The Amazonic Service Medal was awarded to recognize Brazilian Army personnel who have rendered outstanding services while performing duties in the Amazonic Region.

The medal is awarded with a gold bar on the medal's ribbon that has three chestnut trees, to individuals that have rendered 10 years of service, a silver bar on the ribbon with two chestnut trees, to individuals that have rendered 5 years of services and a bronze bar on the ribbon that has one chestnut tree, to individuals who have completed 2-3 years of service.
