The Troops Medal is awarded to recognize Brazilian Army Soldiers who have rendered outstanding services through dedication, professional and self sacrificing actions to the Brazilian Army Troop Body.

Individuals who have contributed to 20 years of service are eligible to receive the gold medal, whose ribbon consists of a clasp that contains three helmet shaped figures.
