The General Urquiza Medal (Medalla para el General Urquiza) was conferred to General Justo José Urquiza by the Governors of the Provinces of Argentina, in recognition of his victory at the Caseros Battle on February, 1852, where Urquiza defeated to Dictator Juan Manuel Rosas.

General Juan Manuel Rosas was governor of Buenos Aires Provinces between 1835 to 1852 and was a principal leader of the federalists during 19th century until his defeat at Caseros.

This gold/diamond Medal is an unique version.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Argentinian Republic to Liberator Urquiza," and a reverse inscription that translates to "Caseros February 3, 1852."
