History

The Medal for the Gulf War (Medalla por la Guerra del Golfo) was established by the Argentine Government in recognition of those troops in the Navy who participated in the Gulf War.

Argentina sent to the Gulf War two navy ships, Almirante Brown and Bahia San Blas, with the corvettes Spiro and Rosales, respectively.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "International Operations A.R.A.”
