History

The Cross of 1872 (Cruz por el Año 1872) was instituted by the Bolivian National Assembly in 1872, to award Colonel Hilarión Daza, an influential Colonel at the time, probably in exchange for his support.

It is not clear who was the recipient for this Medal.

This Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "The National Assembly of 1872 to Hilarión Daza," and a reverse inscription that translates to "He Consolidated the Bolivian Institutions."
