History

The Potosí Medal for the Defenders of Acre (Medalla del Potosí para los Defensores del Acre) was established by the City of Potosí to reward the citizens who taking part at the first expedition to suppress a secessionist rebellion in Acre in 1900. This first expedition was led by the Bolivian President José Manuel Pando, and the Vice-President Lucio Pérez Velasco.

This Medal features a reverse inscription that can be translated to "A Homage to the Brave Defenders of Acre."
