The Tacna Medal (Medalla por Tacna) was authorized by the city of Sucre, Bolivia in recognition of the citizens who helped Bolivian troops to withdraw from Chilean forces after the battle at the Alto de la Alianza near to Tacna, where Chileans overwhelmed the Peruvian and Bolivian troops.

It is limited information regarding to the institution of this Medal.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "The Capital City of Sucre to its Worthy Children," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "Free Rail Workers from the South for their Honorably Behavior in the Sacrifice of Tacna May 26, 1880,"
