History

The Order of General Francisco Estrada was created in 1982 after the victory of the Sandinista revolution in Nicaragua. It was founded to recognize the fighters of the Armed Forces who had displayed exceptional and outstanding merits with singular heroism in the defense of the Homeland and Revolution.
