The Order of Aeronautical Merit (Orden al Mérito Aeronáutico) was instituted in 1946 as the Peruvian Cross for Aeronautical Merit, to reward Peruvian military personnel and citizens who have displayed outstanding achievements in aviation and the Peruvian air force. It may be awarded to foreign nationals as well.

The Order's grades are five, these are Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight.

The Order's official maker is the Peruvian Mint in Lima.
