The Order of Labour Merit (Orden al Merito en el Trabajo) was established in Venezuela on November 20, 1954. It is conferred in recognition of the dedicated work of employees and workers. The Order is also awarded to recognize their efficiency, preparation and persistence at work, and exemplary civic and family behavior.

The Order has consisted of three grades: I Class, II Class, and III Class. In 2008, the Order was revised, and the insignia was re-design differently for men and women. However, it is limited information regarding with the awards since 2008. Nowadays, this Order is awarded for supporting the government through perseverance in their work.

The ribbon of the II Class is yellow and red.
