The Order of Sebastian Diaz De Alfaro was instituted in Venezuela in 1984 by the Province of Aragua, San Sebastian, to reward nationals and foreigners who distinguished themselves for services rendered to the progress and development of the Province. It is the highest award granted by this Province.

The Order consists of a unique grade wearing on a neck ribbon. The obverse depict a portrait of Sbastian Dias de Alfaro who founded the city in 1585.
