History

The Order of the Merit of the Army (Orden al Merito del Ejercito) was established in Venezuela in 1948, to reward Venezuelans and foreigner citizens in recognition of meritorious service to the Venezuelan Army. It may be given to military personnel from the other branches of the Army.

The Order consisted of a unique class, which is wore on a breast ribbon. The Order has no star.
