History

The Order of Marta Matamoros was founded in 2006 to reward Panamanian workers who promote the encouragement, defense, and exercise of the women's rights, particularly in their working conditions.

Presumably, the Order consists of an unique grade.

Marta Matamoros (1909-2006) was a Panamanian defender of the women's rights. She organized women's labor unions and fought for maternity leave laws within the country.
