History

The Order of Irving Saladino was founded in 2007, and it is awarded annually to outstanding Panamanian athletes in national and international competitions. The Order was named after Irving Saladino, a Panamanian athlete who won the first Gold Medal to Panama for high jump on the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008.

The Order has a unique grade, Gold Medal. The recipient must Panamanian and be between twelve and twenty-five years old.
