History

This Order is conferred to recognize members and volunteers of the Canadian Red Cross Society for their extraordinary achievements and humanitarian services.

The Officer award is a white maltese cross with a maple leaf in each quadrant. The obverse centre features a red cross. It is suspended from an orange ribbon. Only five Officers are awarded annually.
