History

The Mexican Atheneum Arts and Sciences Medal (Medalla del Ateneo de Ciencias y Artes de Mexico) was awarded to those who have promoted the sciences and arts in Mexico.

The Mexican Atheneum of Sciences and Arts was founded in Mexico City in 1882 to promote and cultivate the sciences and arts in all its forms and manifestation.

It is not clear if the medal is currently awarded.
