The Commercial Merit Medal (Medalla al Mérito Comercial) was created in Mexico in support of King Fernando VII when he was captured by Napoleon in 1807.

The Medal had three grades: Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and Bronze Medal. It is not clear if the composition denotes the rank of the recipient.

There are several version with removed integral ring.
