History

The Cross for Volunteers of 1942 (Cruz de Voluntarios de 1942 y del SMN -Servicio Militar Nacional) was instituted by the Mexican government in recognition of the volunteers who participated in the World War II.

The obverse inscription translates to "Volunteers of 1942 and the NMS (National Military Services)."
