The Medal for the Ministry of Finance (Medalla del Ministerio de Hacienda) was instituted in Mexico in 1853 to reward to heads of the treasury office after completion of twenty years of service.

The Medals was authorized with three classes; I Class, II Class, and III Class.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that be translated to "The Fatherland to Service in the Ministry of Finance," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "Medal of 1a [2a, 3a] Class."
