History

The Marine Corps Expert Rifleman Marksmanship Badge is awarded as the highest qualification badge for Marine Corps service rifle marksmanship. The United States Marine Corps issue 3 levels of qualification badges; Expert, Sharpshooter, and Marksmanship, as well as a Pistol Marksmanship Qualification Badge. The Expert Badge is awarded upon the successful completion of multiple tables of fire with an overall score of 305-350.

A clasp is available for award with the Expert Badge to denote subsequent qualifications at the expert rifleman marksmanship level.

The Badge is authorized for wear on dress and uniform for the remainder of the recipient's Marine military career or until a different level of qualification is achieved.

There are multiple versions of the Badge which varies by composition.
