History

The Naval Navigator Badge was instituted in 1945. The Wings were worn by naval personnel who trained as navigators onboard naval aircraft. The Wings were discontinued in 1947.

The Wings are the same design as the later Marine Corps Aerial Navigator Badge.

There are multiple versions of the Wings which vary by composition. There may be additional versions not featured here.
