The Agency for International Development Superior Honor Award was established by the United States Agency for International Development. The Silver Medal was awarded to members of the Foreign Service, Civil Service, or the United States Military in recognition of special acts, service, or sustained extraordinary performance that is of a year or longer. Service which impacts the accomplishment of the agency's objectives or the advancement of the United States government's interests, exceptional performance in official duties, innovation in the accomplishment of long-term tasks, contributions to the productivity and efficiency of the agency, and exceptional devotion to duty is eligible for the award.
The Medal has since ceased to be issued with the award.
