History

The Arms Control and Disarmament Agency Meritorious Honor Award was established by the United States Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. The Bronze Medal was awarded to members of the Foreign Service, Civil Service, and the United States Military in recognition of a special act, service, or sustained and outstanding performance. Outstanding performance in support of a one-time event or of official duties, innovation in the completion of short-term tasks, and contributions which increase the productivity and efficiency of Arms Control and Disarmament Agency operations are eligible for the award of the Medal. The Medal has since become obsolete and was replaced by the State Department's Meritorious Honor Award.
