There may or may not be a Breast Star associated with the I Class. Some sources allude to its existence (Megan), and some allude to its non-existence (Werlich, Wikipedia). Most of the other South Korean Orders have a breast star for I and II Class.

History

This Order is conferred by the Korean Government upon Korean citizens and foreigners for exceptionally meritorious service resulting in contributions to the development of Korean industry and economy.

It was amended in 1967 and 1973.
